Despite Anton's lecture to the contrary, I recently washed my black pants and jacket with a WHITE tissue in the pocket of the pants. Needless to say, they came out looking like something that would have piqued NASA's interest - very starry nighted.
ReplyDeleteThe usual rubber brush didn't work at all.
But lots of wiping down a damp cloth (not white) did, alternating with ironing.
Better of course to just remove the tissue before washing next time!
To get rid of tar of cars and clothing, you know when you drive over a freshly tarred road ...
ReplyDelete... put butter - NOT marg - onto the tar mark, and wipe continuously with a cloth. Eventually, it comes off completely - then just wash out with warm soapy water.
A tip from my mom that actually works. :)
